Melanie Hicks PhD Co-Chair

Dr. Melanie Hicks began her career as a political advocate working for Mayor John Marks, the Florida Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability and for the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida. She spent 5 years as the Assistant Provost at the University of Tampa before becoming the CEO for the Children’s Athletic Network. In 2009, she founded InPursuit Research Institute, a consulting and literary services company. Dr. Hicks is active in the Tampa Bay community, serving on various boards and committees for nonprofit and social enterprise organizations. Among her published works is a chapter in Moc Ideja, a grassroots policy manual written for policymakers in Bosnia and funded by the US Department of State, numerous works on psychological contract theory and a regular contributing authorship in two local magazines. She holds a doctorate in Public Policy from Florida State University, a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Miami and bachelors in Organizational Communications from the University of Central Florida.
